Currently you can get a notification when a document is approved or revised through the document subscription feature. It would be useful to add an option to be notified when a document has been superceded (either as a separate option or as part of the revised option).

What underlying problem is this idea trying to solve?
It is very likely that when someone subscribes to a document to know when it has changed revisions, they are just wanting to know when the document has changed which can be a new revision or being replaced by another document entirely. It would be good to add this as an option so that people don't need to manually check for this. |
It could also be useful to add an option for 'Document is Issued'. In many cases this results in a change such as a new revision so it can be useful to be alerted that a change is in the works.
