When initiating the file download, the system is displaying a message suggesting that the request is being processed and user doesn't need to wait on the page for it to be completed. An email will be sent to the user once the downloaded files are ready.
However, once you close the page, there's no indication that the job is still running.
It is suggested to improve the notification to:
Mention that an email will be sent when the zip is available for download.
Provide a link to the My Jobs page if user would like to track progress.

Our customers are finding it harder to download transmittals as file sizes generally get larger and there is confusion whether downloads are even occurring. |
