Why is it useful? Allow your many customers that don't use the middle field to hide the field and prevent unexpected/undesired use. Who would benefit from it? Probably most customers that use ALIM. How should it work? The Document Copy form should have some form of configurability.
What underlying problem is this idea trying to solve?
1) Allowing customers to hide the Middle field if not used. 2) Preventing accidental use 3) Preventing accidental data errors
